Alvina Kemmet, 94 of Farmington, MN formerly of Napoleon, ND, died peacefully May 18, 2022 at Legacy of Farmington Assisted Living, Farmington, MN. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Napoleon United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Burial will be held at the Napoleon City Cemetery.  There will be a recording of the funeral service available at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com at the bottom of her obituary.

Alvina Rau, the daughter of John and Katherine (Raile) Rau was born on February 14, 1928 near Napoleon ND.  Alvina was united in marriage to Melbert Kemmet on March 24, 1948.  They made their home, raised their sons, and together farmed near Dawson, ND. Alvina was an active member of the Salem United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary.   She was such a hard worker, not making time for hobbies, but would enjoy dancing and spending time with friends and family.  She was especially drawn to all infants and toddlers, giving them love and attention.  After retirement Alvina and Melbert moved to Napoleon, ND.  In 2012 she moved to Rosemount, MN to be near her son.

Alvina is survived by her son, Gregory (Lois) Kemmet, Rosemount, MN; and her granddaughter, Alexandra Kemmet (fiancé Cody Bahr), Eagan, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melbert Kemmet; her son, Hilton; her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.
