The funeral for Alvin P. Just, Wishek, ND will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.

Alvin P. Just son of Gustav and Barbara S. (Vossler) Just was born October 8, 1923 in rural McIntosh County, near Wishek, ND. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Wishek and received his education in Salem District Schools and later at Wishek High School. Following his education, Alvin farmed with his family until his marriage to Emilie Just on December 1, 1946, at St. James Lutheran Church rural Wishek, ND. Following their marriage they moved to a farm southwest of Wishek where they lived and farmed for two years. In 1948, they moved to a different farm home southwest of Wishek where they lived and farmed until 1957. In 1957 Alvin moved to Wishek where he has resided since. Alvin worked building cabinets with his father and drove local school bus. He continued farming and started working for Philip Bender doing plumbing. He later purchased the plumbing business and operated it as Just Plumbing for many years. Alvin later took on a partner, Larry Hagel and the business was known as A&L Plumbing. In 1986, he sold his business to Greg Weber while Alvin continued to work part-time in the summer months for Greg until he retired in 1993. Alvin made his winter home in Apache Junction, AZ from 1985 to 1995. Emilie died December 6, 1995. Alvin married Florence Wiest on February 12, 2000. Alvin is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and a former member of the Wishek Eagles.

Alvin died Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Wishek Living Center, Wishek, ND. He was 92 years old.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Florence Wiest, Wishek, ND; brothers Delmar A. (Pat) Just, Cedar Grove, WI and Victor R. (Sharon) Yellville, AR; sisters, Frances Schwartzbauer, Bismarck, ND, Audrey Boschee, Wishek, ND and Delores Meidinger, Wishek, ND; sister-in-law, Virginia Just, Wishek, ND and many nieces and nephews.
