Obituary

The funeral for Agnes Regina Holmes, Napoleon, ND will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at Napoleon, ND.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.  Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Agnes Regina Moser daughter of Bernhardt and Elizabeth (Schwab) Moser was born April 8, 1929 at Napoleon, ND.  She grew up and attended Napoleon Public School through her sophomore year.  Agnes moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1948 and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College.  She worked for Master Lock, a paddle lock company for 12 years also working part-time at the Melrose Inn.  On August 12, 1959 Agnes married Richard Holmes at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee, where Agnes participated in the Girl Scouts and cared for special needs children at St. Colette's Day School for 9 years. In November of 1982 the family moved to Napoleon, ND.  Agnes is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Christian Mothers Alter Society and St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she cared for the flowers for 22 years.  She also cleaned the church for several years.

Agnes died Saturday July 14, 2018 at St. Alexius Medical Center at Bismarck, ND.  She was 89 years old.

Agnes is survived by one daughter, Wanda Holmes, Milwaukee, WI; one grandson, Brian (Jesse) Holmes, Milwaukee, WI; one step grandson, Damian; one sister, Cecilia Riddle, Elk Grove, California; one sister-in-law, Adeline Moser, Napoleon, ND along with numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son John, her parents Bernhardt and Elizabeth Moser, her sister Florence, her brothers Edward and Alan Moser, two brothers-in-law James Wallace and Walt Riddle.  Share memories and sign online guestbook at www.dahlstromfuneralservice.com .  Dahlstrom Funeral Home of Napoleon, ND entrusted with arrangements.
