The funeral for Adolph Forderer, Wishek, ND will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Wishek, ND. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery, Wishek, ND.


Adolph Forderer, son of Jacob and Barbara (Sayler) Forderer was born March 11, 1918 at Linton, ND. He grew up and attended school at rural Linton. Adolph married Martha Thurn May 1, 1941 at Zeeland, ND where they made their home on the family farm. In 1947 they purchased the Horner Service and operated the business until 1964. Adolph retired to Wishek in 1991. Adolph was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and charter member of the Linton Golf Course. He loved to travel, golf, read books, fish, play cards and board games.

Adolph died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek, ND. He was 93 years old.

Adolph is survived by one son, Stanley (Roseann) Forderer, Coos Bay, OR; two daughters, Verna (Frank) Schreiner, Wishek, ND; Linda (Al) Meier, Strasburg, ND; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie Steinert, Bismarck, ND; Pauline Wagner, Linton, ND; two sisters-in-law, Freida Forderer, Wishek, ND and Dorothy (Karl) Ottmar, Jamestown, ND.
