The funeral for Adeline Hugelen Siewert, Williston ND formerly of Bismarck, ND will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 1:00 PM (CT) at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Napoleon, ND. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Napoleon City Cemetery, Napoleon, ND.

Adeline Wentz, daughter of Fred and Emelia (Erhart) Wentz, was born March 25, 1919 in Logan County near Napoleon, ND. She was united in marriage to James "Jim" Hugelen February 12, 1942. Adeline and Jim farmed near Napoleon until 1950 when they moved into Napoleon where they owned and operated the Wentz Motel. In 1961 they moved with their two boys, Tom and Harold, to Sterling, ND to operate the Tops Motel. They moved to Belfield, ND to be involved in the operation of the Hugelen's Truck Stop. Adeline and Jim spent the winter months in Brownsville, TX. Jim passed away in 1980. Adeline was united in marriage to Erwin Siewert in 1984 and they made their home in Bismarck, ND. Adeline moved to Dickinson to be closer to her family, and most recently she had been living with her son and daughter-in-law in Williston, ND. Adeline will be remembered by many for her faith in the Lord, her delicious cooking and baking, her kindness, her infectious laugh and humor which she displayed until her death. One never left her home hungry and she taught many traditional recipes to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Birthdays always brought Red Cake and Crème De Menthe Cake and the holidays usually brought strudel and kuchen.

Adeline died peacefully on October 31, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Williston, ND. She was 96 years old.

Adeline is survived by her two sons, Tom (Margarita) Hugelen, Williston, ND and Harold Hugelen (Denise Tibbs), Belfield, ND, stepdaughter, LeVon (Bill) Hoffer, Tappen, ND; grandchildren, Kristin (Dale) Dvorak, Manning, ND, Corey (Jocelyn) Hugelen, Grassy Butte, ND, Daniel (Christa) Hugelen, Dickinson, ND, Ryan Hugelen, Belfield, ND, Jason Hugelen, Belfield, ND, Adeline (Steven) Teske, Fargo, ND, Veronica (Adam) Wertman, Williston, ND; step grandchildren Susana (Gary) Vallad, Tampa, FL, Denise (Lewis) Weigel, Napoleon, ND, Kaye (Wayne) Schulz, Streeter, ND, Donavan Hoffer (friend, Holly Berg), Bismarck, ND; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Devin Dvorak, Dillan, Tanner, Mason and Quincy Hugelen, Derek, Jaren and Easton Hugelen, Mattea Hecker, Reese, Riley, Rudy and Rex Hugelen, Emmalyn Teske; step great-grandchildren, Lucas, Alyssa, Ethan Vallad, Shane, Grant and Kaylin Weigel, Jonathan and Michael Schulz, Tristen and Taylor Hoffer; two sisters, Irene Reinhardt, Sterling, ND, and Florence (Alfred) Schumacher, Bismarck, ND, and numerous nieces and nephews. Adeline was preceded in death by both husbands, James and Erwin, parents, Fred and Emelia Wentz, one brother, Walter Wentz, one sister, Agnes Wolt, sister-in-law, Norma Wentz, and two brothers-in-law, Elmer Reinhardt and Albert Wolt.
